Public transport in North Cyprus is available in the form of mini buses known as a Dolmuş.  Prices are inexpensive at approximately 25 TLl - 30 TL for a local trip. The services are limited and do not go to all villages or tourist spots.  Best advice is to hire a car so as to visit the main attractions of Cyprus.   You should be able to spot a Dolmuş (bus) easily, as they are white mini buses with the destination written over the windscreen.  If you find a bus stop you can wait here, but you can flag them down at any point on the road.  Buses between the main centres (eg: Girne and Lefkosa) do not run to a fixed timetable, they run about every 20 to 30 minutes, when passenger numbers are sufficient.  Be aware that not all services run late in the evenings.
